Terms of Service
Published Oct 10, 2026
Colossus is a Discord analytics service operated by Dislace (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of Colossus.
You accept them by signing in, adding the bot to a server or opening a dashboard. If you do not accept them, do not use Colossus.
Who can use Colossus
You need a Discord account, so Discord's minimum age for your region applies. Colossus has no accounts or passwords of its own.
- We may refuse or withdraw access. A paid plan does not guarantee access.
Discord's terms come first
Colossus runs on Discord and is subject to Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and Developer Terms. Where these terms conflict with Discord's, Discord's prevail.
Colossus is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Discord.
The bot
Colossus runs either on the shared Colossus bot or on a bot of your own. Which one you use determines who answers to Discord for the application behind it.
- The shared Colossus bot is a Discord application we own and operate. We are its developer of record under Discord's Developer Terms and Developer Policy.
- A dedicated bot is a Discord application you own. You give us its token during setup, and the application stays yours: you remain its developer under Discord's terms and are responsible for it.
- We store a dedicated bot's token only to connect that bot, and use it for nothing else. You can rotate it at any time, and removing the server from Colossus deletes it.
- Adding the bot to a server requires the Manage Server permission. By adding it, you confirm that you are permitted to.
Your members
When you run Colossus in a server, you are the point of contact for the people in it. You agree to three things.
- Tell them that a bot records activity in the server, and point them to our Privacy Policy.
- Never reverse, discourage or circumvent a member's opt-out.
- Never use Colossus to single out, profile or build a case against an individual member. It is for understanding a community, not for monitoring a person.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to read another server's data or circumvent the isolation between servers.
- Do not probe the service for vulnerabilities without asking us first. Write to contact@dislace.com; we normally grant these requests.
- Do not automate against the API in a way that degrades the service for others.
- Do not resell access to Colossus or operate it as a service for third parties.
- Do not submit unlawful content to Colossus, including in the names it stores.
Availability and changes
Colossus comes with no service-level commitment. We may add, change or remove features. We announce a material change to a paid plan in the app before it takes effect.
We do not promise backups or point-in-time restore. Do not rely on Colossus as the only record of anything you would need to recover.
Fees and billing
Some features are paid. A paid plan is a subscription billed monthly, or yearly where the plan offers it, as you choose, through a payment provider that acts as merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles tax. Prices are shown at checkout and are not part of these terms.
Within 14 days of buying a yearly plan, or of its yearly renewal, you can ask for a full refund: write to contact@dislace.com. A refunded plan ends when the refund is made. After those 14 days a yearly plan is not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise, and if you cancel it, it stays active until the end of the year you paid for.
Payment, receipts, cancellation and chargebacks are governed by the merchant of record's buyer terms. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer law.
We never charge you without telling you first. You see the price before any charge, and we announce a price change before it applies.
Ending the agreement
- You can stop at any time by removing the bot, or by deleting the server from Colossus, which permanently deletes its analytics.
- We may suspend or withdraw access if you break these terms, or if we discontinue the service. Where circumstances allow, we give you a chance to export or delete your data first.
No warranty
Colossus is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
Its figures are estimates. They are derived from the event stream Discord provides, and restarts, rate limits and gaps in that stream are reflected in the results.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Colossus. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms as the service changes. We announce a material change in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page shows when the current version was published. Using Colossus after that date means you accept the updated terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms go to us at contact@dislace.com, or to the owner of the server that added the bot.
