Audience
Who your active members are, how often they are online, how activity is spread across them, and who has gone quiet.
Audience is about the people rather than the messages: who is online, who takes part, and who has drifted away. Its cards narrow by role and by channel.
Who is online
- Presence shows how many members were online, idle, on do not disturb or offline. The figure on the card is the most members online at once; the chart shows the average in each period, so it runs lower. Switch the card to a share to see online members as a share of everyone.
- Online by hour shows the average number of members online at each hour of the day.
- Apps shows the time members spent showing an app on their profile, such as a game, for the apps used most.
These cards need the bot's Presence intent. Colossus only ever counts presence; it never records who in particular was online.
Segments
Segments sorts people into five groups by their activity, counting both messages and voice:
- New: joined in the last 7 days.
- At risk: were active before but not in the last 14 days.
- Most invested: the most active people in the server.
- Lurker: have done very little.
- Active: everyone else.
Over time, the card counts everyone seen active, including people who have since left. Switch it to today to see only current members, each in exactly one segment. Leavers are broken down by the same segments on Growth.
How people take part
- Participation splits active members into those who only wrote, only spoke in voice, or did both.
- Members by last activity sorts current members by how long ago they last wrote or spoke, from under 7 days to over 180 days. Members who have never done either count as never active.
- Account age sorts current members by the year their Discord account was created. A sudden bump of brand-new accounts can be a sign of spam or a raid.
