Lens

Look at one member or one channel in detail, and compare two side by side.

Explore zooms in on a single member or a single channel. Open Members or Channels under it in the sidebar and search for who or what you want, or press any member or channel on a leaderboard.

Every Lens card follows the same date range and filters as the rest of the dashboard.

One member

Member shows one person's activity:

  • Messages over time and Voice states: how much they wrote and talked, and whether they were speaking, muted or away.
  • When they are here: their messages by weekday and hour.
  • Conversations: who they reply to or mention, and who does the same to them. Each curve runs from the person who spoke to the one they addressed, and a thicker curve means more. Switch between replies and mentions, or to a table, from the card.
  • Message types, Apps, Commands and Top emoji: what their messages carried, the apps on their profile, the commands they ran and the emoji they used most.

Compare two members or channels

Once a member is picked, a second box beside them reads "Compare with a member…": pick someone there and the page switches to Compare members, their messages, voice time and weekly rhythm side by side over the same range. A channel's page does the same with "Compare with a channel…" for Compare channels. Pressing the link between two people in Conversations opens a comparison too.

On a comparison, the swap button flips the two sides, either box changes one side in place, and clearing one side goes back to the other on its own.

One channel

Channel shows one channel: Messages over time, and Who posts here, the members who post there most. A voice channel also shows Voice states.

Seeing members' data

Lens shows individual members' activity, so it needs the Member profiles and leaderboards permission. See Give your team access for who can see it.
