Read and explore a chart
What each part of a card shows, how to read a value, hide a series, open a chart full screen, zoom in, and download the numbers.
Every view on the dashboard is a grid of cards, and every card answers one question with one chart. This page covers what you can do with any of them.

The parts of a card
- Title and hint. The small (i) beside the title explains exactly what the card counts. When a number looks surprising, read the hint first.
- Headline figure. Most cards lead with one number for the whole date range, such as the total, the average or the latest value. Where the card can compare, it shows the change from the period before, and hovering the change shows the earlier value.
- The chart. Time runs left to right, cut into hours, days, weeks or months depending on how long a range you picked.
- Controls. Hover the card, or tab into it, and its controls unfold at the top right. On a touch screen they are always open.
Read a value
Move the pointer over a chart and it snaps to the nearest hour, day or week, listing every line's value there. On a touch screen, tap once.
- A dashed, faded line is the same measure for the period before your range, labelled Previous period.
- The current hour, day or week is still filling up, so it is drawn differently and marked so far. Do not read a half-finished day as a drop.
- Gaps stay gaps. A period with nothing to measure is left blank rather than drawn as zero.
Show and hide lines
Each line, band or slice has a chip in the legend. Press it to hide that series, and again to bring it back. The chart rescales to what is left, which is useful when one big series flattens the rest. On a donut, the total in the middle is worked out again from the slices you kept.
Card controls
Your choices in Settings… are remembered in this browser for each view.
Full screen
Full screen gives one chart the whole window. Its address includes the card, so you can bookmark it or send it to a teammate. Press Esc or Exit full screen to go back.
In full screen, a time chart gains:
- Zoom and pan. Zoom in to a few hours or out to everything ever recorded. As you zoom, the chart fetches finer or coarser data to suit, so a two-day window reads hour by hour.
- The whole range strip under the chart. Drag its window to move, drag its edges to resize, or press anywhere on it to jump there.
- Scale and axis. Switch between a linear and a log scale, and between fitting the axis to the data and starting it from zero.
- Moving average, with a choice of window.
- Statistics for the range in view: minimum, maximum, mean, median, total and change. The unfinished period is left out, so it does not skew them.
- Data table, a table of every value in view.
- Download the range in view as CSV.
Leaderboards have no full screen; they are already tables.

Mark something on a chart
On a plan with annotations, press a point on a large chart to add an annotation there, or press an existing marker to edit it. Use Annotations on charts in the toolbar to show or hide markers on every chart.
Download the numbers
Download CSV saves a CSV file that opens in any spreadsheet. It holds exactly what the card shows: one row per period and one column per line for a chart, or one row per entry for a leaderboard. The file name carries the card's title and dates. In full screen, the download covers just the stretch in view. CSV downloads come with every plan.
When a card has nothing to show
A card that ignores one of your filters says so beside its title, with Not filtered by role or Not filtered by channel. The member count, for example, always counts the whole server.
