Charts come with every plan. Pulse, findings and the weekly briefing are Pro.
Check the week
- Home: the server at a glance. Star cards elsewhere to keep them here; see Use charts and filters.
- What changed › This week: Pulse flags the readings that moved last week.
- What changed › Findings: what stood out, with a change to try where there is one. See Act on findings.
- Press See the numbers on a reading to open the chart behind it, then narrow it by role or channel.
How Pulse reads a week
Pulse reads the last full week, the seven days ending yesterday in the server's time zone, and compares it with the eight weeks before. A reading outside its usual range is marked Needs attention when it moved the wrong way, or Worth knowing when it moved the right way. A quiet server and a busy one are each judged against themselves.
- Active
The share of members ever seen who posted in the week.
- Talk
The share of messages written by the ten busiest members. Lower is healthier.
- Quiet channels
The share of text channels where nobody posted.
- Newcomers
The share of new members' first messages answered within a day.
- Activation
The share of joiners who posted or joined voice in their first week.
- Early churn
The share of the week's leavers who had joined less than a week before.
- Slow replies
The share of replies that came more than two hours after the message.
- Net new
Joins minus leaves.
A reading needs five recorded weeks before it shows. Importing your history gives Pulse past weeks to learn from.
Post a weekly briefing
At the foot of This week, under Weekly briefing:
- Switch on Post the briefing.
- Pick Channel. Everyone who can read it reads the briefing, so pick a staff channel.
- Set When, in the server's time zone.
- Press Preview to see this week's, then Save.
Name members lets findings about members name them.
If it doesn't work
- A reading is dimmed. Fewer than five weeks are recorded, or the week was too quiet to judge.
- Fewer readings than eight. Your access leaves out the analytics behind some.
