Act on findings and run experiments
Findings are on What changed › Findings. Trying a change is Titan, and needs levelling on and Manager or Admin access.
Read a finding
Findings are worked out once a day, from your server's own history up to yesterday. Those marked Needs attention come first, then Worth knowing. Under each, What carried it names the channels, roles or hours behind the change, and a list names the members it is about.
What they name: a Pulse reading that moved, regulars going quiet, newcomers settling in or not, invites whose joins don't stay, a burst of joins, a busy channel fading, and, with levelling on, levels where members stall and XP that looks farmed.
A small or quiet server gets fewer findings, or none, rather than noise. Home shows those needing attention under What needs you; Dismiss hides one there in this browser only.
Try a change
A fading channel's finding offers double XP in that channel and its threads for seven days.
- Press the offer on the finding.
- Press Switch it on. The multiplier starts tomorrow, and an annotation marks its days on every chart.
Read an experiment
Experiments, under the findings, lists the last 20 changes tried. Colossus compares messages in the changed channels with every channel left alone, against the same weekdays in the four weeks before. Two days after it ends, each reads as helped, hurt or no clear effect. Revert takes a running multiplier out at once; XP earned under it stays.
If it doesn't work
- No findings. The server is too quiet to judge, or your access leaves out the analytics a finding reads.
- Too little activity to read what it did. The channels were too quiet, a day wasn't fully recorded, or another experiment overlapped.
