Run on your own bot
Titan
Needs the server's owner or Admin access.
Set it up when you add the server
- Pick Titan under Pick a plan.
- In the Discord developer portal, create an application, then press I've created it.
- On the application's Bot page, press Reset Token and copy the token. Paste it into Bot token and press Connect.
- Under Privileged Gateway Intents on the same Bot page, switch on Server Members, Message Content and Presence. Press Check again, then Continue to install.
- Add the bot to the server and check out, as in Get started.
The bot stays offline until the plan is paid for, and starts recording once the payment clears.
Move an existing server
- Settings › Server, press Connect your own bot.
- Follow the four steps in the dialog: create the application, switch on the three intents, invite the bot to the server, and paste its token.
- Press Move to your bot.
To go back, add the shared Colossus bot on Discord, then press Move to the shared bot under Shared bot on the same page.
Change the token
After resetting the token in the developer portal: Settings › Server › Danger zone › Bot token, paste it and press Store new token. The token is stored encrypted and never shown again.
If it doesn't work
- The token is rejected. Copy it again from the Bot page, whole. A reset makes every older copy stop working.
- "That bot already runs another server." One application runs one server. Create a second application for this one.
- Some cards say the bot doesn't receive their data. An intent is off. Switch it on in the developer portal, then press Check now.
- A server with 10,000 members or more. Discord reviews a bot using these intents after it joins, and gives 90 days to answer.
- The plan ends. The server moves to the shared bot. Add the shared bot on Discord first so nothing is missed; see Change your plan and billing.
